The below is a community member's testimony. Feel free to use it, something of your own (recommended), or something as simple as as "I support LDs 233, 868, 1002, 1134, and 1704 and "they ought to pass." To get other wording ideas, as online testimony is submitted for this bill, you can see it here:https://legislature.maine.gov/ctl/JUD/05-08-2025?panel=0&time=1&sortdir=0&sortby=2 after clicking on the bill number.
I support LDs 233, 868, 1002, 1134, and 1704. Keep boys out of girls’ sports and bathrooms!
This is common sense legislation. It’s outrageous to think otherwise! Biological males have no business being in biological female's locker rooms/bathrooms, or competing against them in sports programs. It’s dangerous, and totally disrespects biological females. It’s a travesty that women’s sporting opportunities have been ruined by the State of Maine.
Many Maine politicians and unelected bureaucrats have totally disregarded the fact that a large majority of Americans (~80%) DO NOT want biological males competing against biological females, or have them in the girl’s locker rooms/bathrooms!
Maine State law is superseded by Federal law. Maine must fully comply with Title IX Federal law.
I support LDs 233, 868, 1002, 1134, and 1704 and they “ought to pass.”
