The below is a community member's testimony. Feel free to use it, something of your own, or something as simple as as "I support LD 436 and LD 871, and "they ought to pass." To get other wording ideas, as online testimony is submitted for this bill, you can see it here: https://legislature.maine.gov/ctl/HHS/03-31-2025?panel=0&time=0&sortdir=0&sortby=2 after clicking on the bill number.
I support LD 436 “An Act to Prohibit State Agencies from Promoting the COVID-19 Vaccination to Children” and LD 871 “An Act to Exempt All Persons, Including Health Care and Emergency Services Personnel, from COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements.”
LD 436: Let the child’s parents decide what the child is exposed to, not the state, not the education system, not the medical profession, no-one other than the parents.
LD 871: This bill prohibits the State from requiring any person, including health care facility employees and emergency medical services personnel, to receive a COVID vaccine. We live in the United States of America, not a Communist country. We’ve earned our freedom of choice regarding whether we want to vaccinate or not.
I support LD 436 and LD 871, and they “ought to pass.”
